Make Edible Cups Out of Jello



Whether you're a fan of environmental hacks or you just want a new conversation starter, these edible, naturally biodegradable cups are sure to add some fun to your summer get-togethers.

A product of designers The Way We See The World and the 2nd annual Jell-O Mold Competition, these cups are actually made out of agar agar, a gelatin derived from seaweed. This serves two purposes—not only is it stable at temperatures up to 85 degrees (so your cups won't melt on you), but you can also toss them in the plants when you're done—it's actually food that the plants will enjoy.

There are no instructions on how to make the cups themselves, but it's conceivable that they are little more than agar agar jello, which you could make in mostly the same way you do regular Jell-O. You could probably use cups for the mold (stacking one on top of the other, with the gelatin solidifying in between them).

youd think that they would publish the instructions...unless they are planning to make money off of it by selling these cups already made
